Bangkok Community Theatre (BCT) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation of many nationalities who work together to produce English language plays for the local community. BCT was founded in 1972 when the two existing drama groups (each originating in the late '50s) decided to pool their resources and form one organisation. On average, BCT stages 4 to 5 productions a year with each show requiring volunteers from the community to perform on-stage and to help behind the scenes.

 

The Andaman Players are a lively group of people dedicated to bringing excellent English theatre to Phuket. This fledgling theater troupe is in the process of organizing its governing board, seeking out sponsors and recruiting volunteers -- all in the midst of producing and performing quality theatrical stage plays for the community's enjoyment. Lots of action on the stages, many stalls for you to browse round and perhaps buy the odd thing, Judi McNamara will again be running the second hand book stall under the Easy Rider Banner (Jameson's is a collecting point for all your second hand books, and we are collecting now so please bring along any books you have that you really do not want anymore, so we can sort them out into categories. It is a fantastic way to make money as their is no cost and all money goes to the kids).
